Ride in an original guard’s brake van, hauled by a preserved British Railways diesel locomotive, along the scenic branch line between Buckfastleigh and Totnes. Travel in either a 1930s ‘Toad’ or 1950s ‘Shark’ brake van, complete with an open veranda. One leg of your journey will place you at the rear of the train, while the return puts you directly behind the loco for a powerful front-row view of diesel traction in action.
