Hauled by an authentic Great Western Railway steam locomotive, this experience offers a rare chance to travel the line as the railway workers once did. You’ll ride in a 1930s ‘Toad’ or 1950s ‘Shark’ brake van, complete with an open veranda offering uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside. On one leg of the trip, you’ll ride at the rear of the train. On the return, you’ll be directly behind the locomotive for an exhilarating, close-up encounter with steam in action.
