South Devon Railway

South Devon Railway
The South Devon Railway is a seven-mile heritage line running through the stunning valley of the River Dart between Buckfastleigh and Totnes. Originally built by the Great Western Railway in 1872, it now offers a nostalgic steam-hauled journey with beautifully restored heritage rolling stock. It’s a fantastic all-day, all-weather attraction for families and visitors of all ages. While you're here, why not make it a full day out by visiting the Totnes Rare Breeds Farm and Dartmoor Otters & Buckfast Butterflies—three great attractions, one amazing day. We're easy to find: just off the A38 at Buckfastleigh, near the famous Buckfast Abbey, or by main line train to Totnes. Buckfastleigh is just 22 miles from Exeter, 21 from Plymouth, 19 from Dartmouth, and 13 from Paignton.
