Enjoy Weardale's dark skies!

*SOLD OUT*

Enjoy Weardale's dark skies!

The experience commences from 1730 at Stanhope Station with exciting space-themed activities for all the family. This will be followed by a train ride departing at 1800 from Stanhope to a unique location where you will disembark and enjoy stargazing using telescopes while listening to our experts from the Bishop Auckland Astronomical Society.

Pre-booking is essential - includes light refreshments and a space-themed gift for all the children. You will need to bring along a folding chair. You should be aware that the experience means you will be climbing on and off the train, so suitable footwear and a reasonable level of fitness are required.

Please note, in the event of cloudy skies, the event will still go ahead; however, the telescope experience will be replaced with an alternative activity.

Tickets cost £30 per adult and £15 per child. To book tickets, please visit https://weardale-railway.digitickets.co.uk/tickets
