Step onto the footplate of one of our historic locomotives and see the railway from the driver’s perspective.

Climb aboard "Overlord", a diesel shunting locomotive, for a rare opportunity to view the railway from the driver’s side. You’ll be able to explore the cab, meet the locomotive team, and see the controls up close. The visit also includes time in the loco shed, where you can watch restoration work in progress and talk to the volunteers who look after our fleet.
