The Littlehampton Miniature Railway is the oldest 12 1/4 inch gauge railway in Britain and a proud member of Britains Great Little Railways. Running from Mewsbrook Park through woodland and along the seafront to Norfolk Gardens, the line is operated entirely by volunteers from the Littlehampton Heritage Railway Association (LHRA). Since opening in 1948, the railway has seen many changes, but our aim remains the same - to be a valued part of the town and an essential feature of a day out in Sussex by the Sea. Trains run most weekends and Bank Holidays from April to October, and on weekdays during school holidays. Santa Specials operate in December.
