Step back in time on the longest heritage railway in Essex and the closest to London, easily reached by Tube. We’re the only heritage railway operating on a former part of the Underground network. On most operating days, vintage buses depart right outside Epping and Shenfield stations, taking you to our beautifully restored stations for steam and diesel-hauled trains through picturesque countryside and the edge of Epping Forest. On most standard timetable days, one great value ticket gives you unlimited travel on heritage trains and vintage buses, all day long. Child fares are just £1 on these services. We run a full programme of events for families and enthusiasts throughout the year.
