Our vintage diesel-hauled train will be at Chinnor station on Saturday evening 4 July and 5 September for a fun and brain teasing Ploughman's Platter Quiz Night.

The evening commences at 19.00 when guests join the train at Chinnor for a general knowledge quiz. A selection of beers, wines and soft drinks will be available to purchase on the train, and our volunteer stewards will take your orders and serve them at your seats. Your Ploughman's platter will be served on the train. The evening continues with further rounds of general knowledge and a picture round. A raffle will be held with exciting prizes donated by the Railway. Answers will be revealed, prizes awarded to the winning team and the raffle drawn before the evening concludes at approximately 22.30. Tickets are £27.50 per person. We will aim to make up tables of four, so if you book two seats, we may add you to another table of two to make up a team. Details * Tickets are limited and must be pre-booked. * Your ticket includes a Ploughman's platter and one raffle ticket. * Additional raffle tickets will be available on the night. * Teams may consist of up to four people. Your meal is a freshly prepared Ploughman's with cheese and ham or cheese and egg, a piece of sausage roll (vegetarian option available), a bread roll and butter, plus a salad and fruit garnish. We are unable to provide gluten-free or other special dietary requirements. Beers, wines and soft drinks are available, and all profits go towards supporting our charity so that the heritage line can be passed on for future generations to enjoy. There is a £10 corkage charge for those who prefer to bring their own alcoholic drinks. * Car parking at Chinnor station is FREE of charge (Sat Nav OX39 4BZ). * Wheelchair spaces are not available due to the heritage layout of the coaches.
